·        Ass. Prof. Ali Timucin Atayoglu is a consultant medical doctor and a lecturer in Medipol University in Istanbul, Turkey.

·        He has established the first Apitherapy Center affiliated with a university hospital in the country.

·        He works as the coordinator for the studies in Traditional and Complementary Medicine in the medical faculty.

·        He has been interested in holistic medicine since he was a student in the medical school.

·        After his elective studies in London, UK in 1997-1998, he returned to Istanbul and continued his studies in Integrative Medicine. Meanwhile he has travelled to countries from US to Japan, from Romania to South Africa and tried to increase his knowledge & experience in that field. He has focused his “evidence based apitherapy” efforts on education, clinical care, and research—within the the principles of integrative medicine.

·        In 2008, he traveled to China to study with Prof Fang Zhu who is one of the world’s foremost experts on Apitherapy. He is still working with him on the Apitherapy Text Book.

·        He is currently the president of Apitherapy Association in Turkey.

·        He is member of the Scientific Committee for the Traditional & Complementary Medical Practices in the Health Ministry.

·        He is also the chairman of the Holistic and Integrative Medicine Association in Turkey.

 As.Prof. Ali Timucin Atayoglu es médico consultor y profesor en la Universidad de Medipol en Estambul, Turquía. Él ha establecido el primer Centro de Apiterapia afiliado a un hospital universitario en el país. Trabaja como coordinador para los estudios de medicina tradicional y complementaria en la facultad de medicina.

Él ha estado interesado en la medicina holística desde que era estudiante en la escuela de medicina. Después de sus estudios electivos en Londres, Reino Unido, en 1997-1998, regresó a Estambul y continuó sus estudios en Medicina Integrativa. Mientras tanto, ha viajado a países de EE. UU. A Japón, de Rumania a Sudáfrica y ha tratado de aumentar su conocimiento y experiencia en ese campo.

Ha centrado sus esfuerzos de "apiterapia basada en la evidencia" en la educación, la atención clínica y la investigación, dentro de los principios de la medicina integrativa. En 2008, viajó a China para estudiar con el profesor Fang Zhu, que es uno de los principales expertos mundiales en apiterapia.

Actualmente es el presidente de la "Asociación de apiterapia" y también el presidente de la "Asociación de medicina integral" en Turquía. Es miembro del Comité Científico para las Prácticas Médicas Tradicionales y Complementarias en el Ministerio de Salud de Turquía.
